Name Genie is built with a strict zero-data-collection approach. We believe your baby name search should be completely private and not require us to handle any of your personal information.

What We DON'T Collect:

  • Personal identifying information (Name, Email, Phone)
  • Location data
  • Device information or unique identifiers
  • Usage analytics or screen time data
  • Payment data or transaction history
  • Any data for third-party sharing or advertising

2. How Name Genie Works

🌐 Internet Connection

The app only connects to the internet to read baby names from Google Sheets. This is a crucial one-way operation—we download the latest names database but never upload any data, personal or otherwise, from your device.

📱 Local Processing

All your inputs (such as parent names, religion selection, gender preference, or favorite lists) are processed **100% locally on your device**. This information is temporary, stored only while the app is active, and is automatically deleted when you close the app.

3. Permissions Explained

Internet Access: This is the only permission requested. It is required solely to fetch the updated baby names database. No personal data is transmitted during this operation.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Name Genie is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Given that we do not collect any personal information from any user, we adhere to the strictest standards of protecting the privacy of children under 13.

5. Data Security

Since no data is collected, stored, or transferred to our servers, there is **zero risk** of data breaches, data loss, or unauthorized access to your information from our side.
